A seasoned general and trauma surgeon, Dr. Mauricio Bassante specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgical procedures using the latest da Vinci 5 system, as well as advanced endoscopy. He currently serves as Trauma Medical Director at MUSC Health – Orangeburg and is a former Chair of the Surgery Department and former Chief of Staff.
Dr. Bassante is also a military surgeon and serves as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves. He is committed to combining advanced technology with compassionate care.
